Terms of Service

The rules for using Studio Forward: accounts, acceptable use, content, liability and how disputes are handled.

> Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account, browsing, buying or selling on Studio Forward, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

1. Who we are

Studio Forward ("Studio Forward", "we", "us", "our") operates an online marketplace where independent creators ("Sellers") offer digital resources for game development (scripts, maps, models, plugins, templates, assets and similar content, the "Products") to buyers ("Buyers").

• Operator: Studio Forward

• Registered address: address available on request through Support

• Registration: 10139071400018

• VAT number: not applicable

• Contact: contact@studio-forward.com

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply together with:

• the Terms of Sale & Refund Policy, for purchases;

• the Seller Terms, for anyone who sells on Studio Forward;

• the Affiliate Program Terms, for affiliates;

• the Intellectual Property & DMCA Policy;

• the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.

If these documents conflict, the document that is specific to the activity concerned (for example the Seller Terms for a sale made by a Seller) prevails for that activity.

2. Definitions

• Platform: the Studio Forward website, its pages, features, APIs and related services.

• User: any person who accesses the Platform, with or without an account.

• Account: the personal space created by a User to buy, sell, review, message or join the affiliate program.

• Store: the public page and catalogue of a Seller.

• Product: a digital resource listed on the Platform, including its files, updates, documentation and listing content.

• License: the right to use a Product granted to a Buyer, as described in the Terms of Sale.

• Content: any text, image, video, file, message, review or other material published or sent through the Platform.

3. Eligibility

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an Account. If you are under the age of legal majority in your country, you may only use the Platform with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use.

• Selling and joining the affiliate program require you to be of legal age in your country and able to enter into binding contracts, and to complete identity verification with our payment provider.

• You may not use the Platform if you have been previously banned, or if you are subject to sanctions that prohibit you from using our services or our payment provider.

4. Your account

• You must provide accurate, current and complete information, and keep it up to date.

• You may sign up with an email address and password, or with a third-party sign-in such as Google. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your Account.

• One person may hold only one Account, unless we expressly allow otherwise. Accounts are personal and may not be sold, rented or transferred.

• Tell us immediately through Support if you suspect unauthorized access to your Account. Studio Forward staff will never ask for your password or card details.

• You can close your Account at any time by contacting Support. Some information is kept after closure where the law requires it (see the Privacy Policy).

5. Acceptable use

When using the Platform, you agree not to:

• break any law or regulation, or encourage others to do so;

• upload, sell, share or request leaked, cracked, stolen or pirated content, or content you do not have the right to distribute;

• distribute malware, backdoors, viruses, obfuscated malicious code, cryptominers, credential stealers or any code that harms users, games or servers;

• infringe the intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights of others, or the trademarks of game publishers;

• publish hateful, harassing, violent, sexually explicit, discriminatory or illegal content, or content that exploits minors in any way;

• scam, defraud or mislead Users, including by misrepresenting a Product, inflating reviews, manipulating rankings or sales figures, or creating fake accounts;

• ask Users to pay outside the Platform (PayPal, crypto, gift cards, bank transfers) for a Product listed on Studio Forward, or try to avoid our fees;

• spam, send unsolicited advertising, or use the messaging system for anything other than support related to a purchase or a Product;

• scrape, crawl or copy the Platform or its catalogue by automated means, except public search engine indexing;

• interfere with the security or operation of the Platform, probe or test its vulnerabilities without our written permission, or overload our infrastructure;

• reverse engineer the Platform, or bypass any technical protection, license check or download fingerprint;

• violate the terms of service of Roblox, Mojang/Microsoft, Epic Games, Rockstar Games/Take-Two (including FiveM rules), Unity, Epic's Unreal Engine EULA, or any other platform the Products are made for.

6. Content you publish

• You remain the owner of the Content you publish. You grant Studio Forward a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt (for formatting and thumbnails) and distribute that Content for the purpose of operating, promoting and improving the Platform, for as long as the Content is online and for a reasonable period afterwards for backups and legal records.

• Reviews must reflect a genuine experience with a Product you purchased. Reviews may not contain personal data of others, insults, spam, or links to competing offers.

• We may (but are not obliged to) review, refuse, edit for formatting, hide or remove any Content that breaks these Terms or the law. Where required by law, we explain our decision and allow you to contest it through Support.

7. Moderation and notice-and-action

• Anyone can report a Product with the Report button on the product page, report a message in a conversation, or open a ticket in Support.

• Copyright owners can submit a DMCA takedown notice (see the Intellectual Property & DMCA Policy).

• We review reports diligently and objectively. Depending on the case, we may remove or disable Content, restrict features, suspend a Store or close an Account. When we take such a decision, we tell the User concerned the reason (unless the law prevents it or it would compromise an investigation) and how to appeal.

• You can appeal a moderation decision by replying to the notification or opening a ticket in Support within 6 months. A different staff member reviews appeals whenever possible.

8. Purchases, payments and refunds

• Purchases are governed by the Terms of Sale & Refund Policy.

• Payments are processed by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's secure pages and are never stored by Studio Forward.

• Sellers sell their own Products. When you buy from a Seller, the contract of sale is between you and that Seller; Studio Forward acts as the marketplace operator and handles payments, the review window, refunds and dispute resolution as described in our policies. Products sold by the official Studio Forward store are sold by Studio Forward itself.

9. Messaging

• Buyers can contact the Seller of a Product they purchased from their orders and products pages. Conversations are for installation help, bug reports and questions about the Product.

• Messages are scanned automatically for scams (requests to pay outside the Platform, suspicious links, sharing of credentials) and can be reported by participants. Studio Forward moderators can read conversations that are reported or flagged, and may hide messages or close conversations that break these Terms.

• Never share passwords, card numbers or other sensitive data in a message.

10. Gift cards and account credit

Gift cards and account credit are governed by the Terms of Sale (section "Gift cards and account credit"). They have no cash value, cannot be resold, and cannot be exchanged for money except where the law requires it.

11. Intellectual property of Studio Forward

The Platform, its design, logos, the "Studio Forward" name, software and documentation are protected by intellectual property laws and belong to Studio Forward or its licensors. You may not use them without our prior written permission, except to refer to the Platform in a fair and non-misleading way. Game names and logos (Roblox, Minecraft, Fortnite, GTA, Unreal Engine, Unity) belong to their respective owners; Studio Forward is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

12. Availability and changes to the Platform

• We work to keep the Platform available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The live status of our services is shown on the Service status page.

• We may change, add or remove features. When a change significantly reduces a paid feature you already purchased, we will tell you in advance and offer a solution where reasonable.

13. Third-party services

The Platform relies on third-party services (payments by Stripe, sign-in with Google, hosting and database providers, video embeds from YouTube). Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Links to external websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content.

14. Suspension and termination

• We may suspend or close an Account, or limit features, if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, if your activity creates a risk for other Users, for Studio Forward or for our payment provider, or in case of fraud or repeated chargebacks.

• Except in urgent cases (fraud, security, legal obligation), we notify you before closing an Account and give you the reasons.

• When an Account is closed, Licenses already acquired for Products remain valid for the files you downloaded, unless the purchase was refunded, charged back or obtained fraudulently.

15. Liability

• Products are created and supported by their Sellers. Studio Forward reviews stores and listings but does not guarantee that every Product is error-free, compatible with every version of a game or engine, or suited to your specific project.

• To the extent permitted by law, Studio Forward is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of profit, loss of data, loss of revenue of a game or server, bans or penalties imposed by a game platform, or damages caused by the use of a Product contrary to its documentation or license.

• Where our liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid on the Platform in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

• Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

16. Indemnity

If you use the Platform in breach of these Terms or the law, and this causes a claim against Studio Forward by a third party (for example a copyright owner), you agree to compensate Studio Forward for the reasonable costs and damages resulting from it, unless the claim results from our own fault.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. We publish the new version with its date and, for significant changes, inform registered Users by email or on the Platform at least 15 days before they apply. If you do not accept the new Terms, you can close your Account before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept them.

18. Applicable law and disputes

• These Terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of the country where you live if you are a consumer.

• Contact Support first: most issues are solved quickly through a ticket.

• If you are a consumer in the European Union and we could not solve your complaint, you may use a consumer mediator free of charge. The mediator's details are available on request through Support.

• Failing an amicable solution, disputes are brought before the competent courts determined by law. For professional Users, the courts of the place of our registered office have exclusive jurisdiction.

19. Miscellaneous

• If a provision of these Terms is held invalid, the rest remains in force.

• Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.

• These Terms are written in English. Translations, if any, are for convenience only.
