How to import Unreal Engine and Unity assets
Migrate Unreal content into your project, import a .unitypackage and fix pink materials in Unity.
This guide covers Unreal Engine 5 projects and content packs, and Unity packages.
Unreal Engine: content pack or project
• Full project: open the .uproject file with the engine version listed in the Details tab. A newer engine version can convert it (make a copy first).
• Content folder: close your project, copy the provided folder into YourProject/Content, then reopen the project. Keep the folder name: assets reference each other by path.
• Migrate (recommended when the seller ships a demo project): open the demo project, right-click the folder in the Content Browser → Asset Actions → Migrate, then choose your project's Content folder.
• C++ plugins: copy them into YourProject/Plugins and rebuild the project from your IDE.
Unity: import a package
1. Open your project with the Unity version listed in the Details tab (or newer).
2. Assets → Import Package → Custom Package…, select the .unitypackage, keep everything selected and click Import.
3. Install the packages the guide requires from the Package Manager (for example Input System, Cinemachine, TextMeshPro).
4. Open the included demo scene to check that everything works.
Pink materials in Unity
• The asset was made for another render pipeline. Use the pipeline listed in the Details tab (Built-in, URP or HDRP), or convert the materials: Window → Rendering → Render Pipeline Converter for URP.
Need help?
• Contact the seller from Account → Orders → Contact seller with your engine version and a screenshot of the error.
