How to import UEFN templates, Verse scripts and devices

Open a UEFN project or copy assets into your island, compile Verse and place devices.

Fortnite resources are made for Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN): complete island templates, Verse scripts, device setups, prefabs and assets.

Open a complete template

1. Extract the archive. A template is usually a full UEFN project folder (with a .uefnproject file).

2. Copy it to your UEFN projects folder (Documents/Fortnite Projects by default) and open it from the UEFN project browser.

3. Open the level, then press Launch Session to test it in Fortnite.

Add assets or Verse to your own island

1. Close UEFN, then copy the provided folder into your project's Content folder (keep the folder structure).

2. Reopen the project: the assets appear in the Content Browser.

3. For Verse: open Verse Explorer, check that the files are listed, then use Verse → Build Verse Code. Fix any error shown in the Message Log before going further.

4. Drag the Verse device (or creative devices) into the level and set their options in the Details panel as the guide explains.

Before publishing

• Test with several players in a session: many game modes depend on team and round settings.

• Check the memory usage of your island in UEFN after adding big environments.

• Publishing follows Epic's island rules and ratings: you remain responsible for your island.
