Copyright, DMCA and prohibited content

How DMCA takedown notices work, strikes, counter-notices and prohibited content.

Studio Forward respects intellectual property

If you believe that content on our platform infringes your copyright, submit a DMCA takedown notice: open a ticket in Copyright & DMCA. The subject line is set to DMCA Takedown Notice — Studio Forward.

What a valid notice must include

• identification of the copyrighted work;

• the URL of the infringing content on Studio Forward;

• your contact information: full name, mailing address, phone number and email;

• a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;

• a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner;

• your physical or electronic signature.

We also ask for proof of ownership (a DevForum post, the Roblox game showing the original asset, timestamped screenshots that predate the infringing upload, or source files only the creator would have). You can upload up to 5 files of 20 MB each.

What happens next

Upon receiving a valid notice, we (1) remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content, (2) notify the uploader and issue a strike against their account, and (3) give the uploader the opportunity to file a counter-notice if they believe the takedown was a mistake.

Repeat infringers

Sellers with repeated valid DMCA strikes are subject to account restrictions and permanent suspension under our repeat-infringer policy.

Not the copyright owner?

DMCA claims are only for the copyright holder of the original work. If you think a product is stolen, inappropriate or breaks the rules but you are not the original creator, use the Report this product button at the bottom of the product page sidebar.

> Filing a false DMCA claim is a violation of federal law (17 U.S.C. § 512(f)) and may result in legal liability.

Prohibited content

Leaked or stolen resources, malware, content that infringes trademarks of game publishers, hateful or illegal content, and anything that violates the rules of the target game platform are prohibited.
